ABOUT

'Like Russian dolls, these lives sit within him' (The Light Between Oceans)

To me, stories are so interesting. This line from The Light Between Oceans shows exactly why stories and experiences are so important. They make up who we are as people, the same way Russian dolls fit within one another to form the outer shell. And for this reason, I have decided to start a blog completely dedicated to stories.

Hi! My name is Bethany and (surprise, surprise) I love books. For as long as I can remember I have always loved to read fiction and write short stories of my own, however this has taken a back seat for a number of years whilst school and University took priority.

But this is going to change. My New Year's resolution for 2017 is to read more books outside of my University course (which is Comparative Literature and French) and for the time being, I aim to read 12 books this year. I am going to use this blog to keep track of and write reviews for the books I read and to also get back into writing my own stuff. No promises it'll be anything like Homer, but I'll give it a right good go.

(I also regularly update my Goodreads account so you can follow me there too, if you fancy.)
